Terms of Service

1. The service

Sosie takes a performance video you upload, a presenter image you choose, upload or describe, and produces a synthetic video in which that presenter performs your recording. Output is generated by third-party AI models and may contain imperfections. We do not guarantee any particular result.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and provide a valid email address. You are responsible for everything done under your account and for keeping your password private. One person per account.

3. Credits, packs and subscriptions

Rendering consumes credits. One credit renders a video of up to 20 seconds; videos between 21 and 40 seconds consume two. There is no free tier.

Packs are one-time purchases and their credits never expire. Subscriptions renew monthly and can be cancelled at any time from your account; cancellation stops future charges and keeps credits already granted. Unused subscription credits carry over for one month.

If a render fails for reasons on our side, the credits it consumed are returned to your balance automatically. Prices are shown in euros at the time of purchase and processed by Stripe.

4. Refunds

Credits are not refundable once used. Every render consumes real computing time the moment it starts, which is why a completed render, whatever you think of the result, is not refunded.

If a render fails for reasons on our side, the credits it consumed are returned to your balance automatically, usually within minutes. You never pay for a video you did not receive.

EU consumers keep their statutory right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase for credits that have not been used, by writing to the address below; those credits are refunded pro rata. By starting a render you expressly request that the service begin immediately and acknowledge that the credits it consumes are no longer covered by that right.

5. What you may upload

You may upload only videos of yourself, or of people who have given you their explicit written permission, and presenter images you own or have the rights to use. Uploading the likeness of a public figure, or of anyone who has not consented, is prohibited. Our rendering provider runs automated public-figure checks and any render it blocks is refunded; those checks are not exhaustive and consent remains your responsibility.

By uploading, you represent and warrant that you hold every right and consent needed for the faces, voices and images in your files, that the people shown are adults, and that you will keep written proof of consent and produce it within 48 hours if we ask. We may ask before or after a render and may refuse to render until we receive it.

You must not use the service to produce content that is unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, sexual, hateful, or that impersonates a real person. In particular, and without limitation, you must not create: intimate or sexualised imagery of anyone; content depicting or targeting minors; content that presents a real person as saying or doing something they did not, whether for fraud, scams, blackmail, harassment, political or electoral manipulation or any other deception; content that misleads consumers about a product, a price, a result or who is speaking; or content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights. Outputs presented as customer testimonials must not misrepresent a synthetic presenter as a real customer.

We may refuse, remove or report content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, immediately and without refund. Credits consumed by a render we remove for breach are not returned.

5a. Enforcement, investigations and cooperation

We investigate reports of misuse. To do so we may preserve uploaded and generated content and account records beyond the retention periods in our privacy policy, review them, and disclose them to law enforcement, courts, regulators, the platforms where the content was published, and the person whose likeness was used, where we believe in good faith that the law, a legal process or the protection of a person's rights requires it.

Anyone who believes their face or voice has been used on Sosie without consent can write to bonjour@sosie.live. We remove the content promptly on a credible report and may close the account that produced it.

5b. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Yiriba LLC, its owners, staff and providers from any claim, loss, fine, damages and legal costs arising from your content, from a breach of these terms, or from your use of anything the service generated, including claims by people depicted in your uploads or outputs.

6. Your content and your outputs

You keep ownership of what you upload and of the videos you generate. You grant us the licence needed to store, process and deliver them, which ends when they are deleted. You may use generated videos commercially, including in advertising. We do not use your content to train models.

7. Synthetic media

Everything the service produces is AI-generated. Where you publish it, you are responsible for any disclosure the law or the platform requires, including transparency obligations for synthetic content.

8. Availability

Renders are processed in a queue. Turnaround is usually a few minutes but may be longer when demand exceeds our daily rendering capacity; queued renders are held, not lost, and your credits stay reserved until they complete or are refunded. We may suspend the service for maintenance.

9. Liability

The service is provided as is. Outputs are synthetic media generated by third-party models; we do not check them for accuracy or fitness for any purpose, and you alone decide whether and where to use them. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for how you or anyone else uses what the service produced. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. On closure, unused pack credits are refunded pro rata if closure is at our initiative without breach; otherwise they are forfeited.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, and disputes are brought before the courts of Harris County, Texas, except that consumers in the European Union keep the protection of the mandatory rules and the courts of their country of residence.

12. Changes and contact
